About YAGRO
YAGRO are creators of leading farming management and analytics software, helping those in the agricultural industry to make crucial business decisions, improve operational efficiency, and mitigate risk based on real data and insights.
Arc was recommended to YAGRO by a former client of ours. We were tasked with creating a personalised and, most importantly, flexible office space for YAGRO that would accommodate their needs for years to come.
The Project
This project was an opportunity for Arc to carry out our comprehensive turnkey package, providing custom design, furniture selection and installation, and complete fit-out of the brand-new space.
This office needed to clearly showcase who YAGRO are and what they’re all about, while still providing a well-designed space that supported their staff’s comfort, productivity and range of work styles.
The Brief
What We Did
Atmosphere: Our team balanced a comfortable and welcoming environment with glass partitions for a more formal finish. To support this blend of familiarity and professionalism, the central hub was designed to feel like a family dining table while performing as a meeting space. This project was the perfect example of a space where employees could move between zones for controlled attention, stimulus-driven attention, and relaxation and rejuvenation.
Colours & Materials: We elected for a warm, earthy colour palette with welcoming woods and corks, also incorporating plants, moss and living walls for a touch of nature. These nods to the natural world were an important tie-in to our client’s industry.
Branding: It was essential to include the company branding, achieved in a creative way by building a ‘living’ version of their logo to take pride of place on a prominent wall.
Furniture: We took the client to London to pick out furniture pieces together that met both their functional needs and style preferences. This included height-adjustable desks and chairs to enhance ergonomics. In the data lab area of the office, all furniture was totally reconfigurable, allowing it to be set up in a conference style, working style or something else entirely.
Flexible Working Spaces: In this project, we wanted to accommodate different needs and working styles. As well as open-plan and flexible co-working spaces, we also installed privacy pods and established separate enclosed meeting rooms. Other spaces included a presentation space and kitchenette, and the central hub with the ‘family dining table’ centrepiece. Finally, the library was a cosy space for people to break out and decompress, with furniture and layout lending itself well to informal meetings.
Skills Used: The full range of skills used in this project by the Arc team included bespoke design, partitioning, electrical, plumbing, joinery, decoration, flooring, furniture, custom planting and graphics, and acoustics.
The Project Statistics: The project was led by Rebecca Shepperson and had an overall value of £310,000, taking four weeks to build. This space covers more than 4220 sq ft and now supports over 40 staff.
The Handover: The YAGRO team were truly wowed and over the moon at the finished space. During a recent visit to the new space, an Arc representative noted how well-used and utilised the office was, further reflecting the success of the overall project.
